The coolant capacity of the 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer varies between model styles. The 1600 models has a capacity of 6 liters, the 1800 and 2000 models can hold 7 liters. The diesel-powered vehicles have the largest coolant capacity at 7.5 liters. You should use Mitsubishi Super Long-Life Coolant, or an equivalent let meets Mitsubishis standards. The coolant concentration should be right around 50/50 mixed with distilled water. The coolant not only draws the heat from the engine as it runs but will also keep the engine from freezing in the winter. You can visually inspect the coolant level by looking at the overflow tank and making sure the level is between the min and Max lines on the side of it. The reservoir tank is translucent so You will be able to see the fluid level inside.
