The fuel pump for the AudiA4 1.8L engine is situated inside the main fuse box which is located under the hood of the vehicle. This fuel pump is responsible for supplying fuel from the gas tank of Your vehicle to the fuELRail through the fuel filter. In some of the older vehicles, the fuel is usually supplied to the carburetor. The fuel pump relay is necessary to supply this fuel to the engine for combustion. If the fuel pump relay malfunctions, You will in turn experience problems with Your fuel pump which will decrease Your engines performance. You may experience sputtering, a reduced fuel efficiency, rising engine temperatures, and in some cases where the car wont start due to bad fuel pump.
