A 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 with A5.7L engine has a gas tank capacity of 26 gallons on the base model. The optional quad only model has a slightly larger gas tank, and can hold up to 34 gallons. It typically requires unleaded mid-grade 89 octane rated gas and also works well with unleaded regulaR87 octane gas. Always remember to close Your gas cap tight, to avoid emmissions. This car uses a three way catalytic converter to power its internal features and one of the most powerful engines on the market in the 5.7 L Hemi V8. This particular model takes advantage of hemispherical chambers that are used for combustion, resulting in increased airflow.
