The 2004 Dodge Ram is part of a generation of trucks that are not equipped with a cabin air filter. 2002-2005 models do not feature a CAF, one, however, can be retrofitted. Most modern trucks are outfitted with one either under the dashboard behind the glove compartment box or under the hood, depending on trim and other factors. Many consider a cabin air filter to be an integral part of a healthy environment, keeping the interior of their truck free of dust, dirt and allergy causing pollens. A filter also works with the HVAC system of a car to protect its fan and ducts from clogging or damage. When servicing a CAF, keep in mind it must be changed as a part of Your vehicle's routine maintenance schedule, and while this interval varies based on make and model owned, most manufacturers recommend replacing the CAF at least every 15,000 and 30,000 miles to keep the interior of the vehicle clean.

The 2004 Dodge RAM 2500 DOES NOT have a factory installed cabin air filter system. I've owned my 2004 Dodge RAM 2500 for 16-years and I can emphatically state that there is no cabin air filter "behind the glovebox" or "under the hood near the back".

JAFChE is correct, there is NO Cabin Air Filter on the 2004 Ram. I wish people would verify before writing a comment.

The 2004 dodge ram cabin air filter location can either be under the dashboard behind the glove box, or it can sometimes be under the hood of the vehicle near the back.

There is NO filter I have finally found and I am p***** off because I have been paying every few years to get a cabin air filter replaced. Every single time they "check" my vehicle, it has a YELLOW indication that says in need of replacement soon and always try to sell me that. Even though it's a small part and labor, I feel like making a big stink about this! I replaced the air filter (they didn't even close casing correctly) and tore apart everything. There is no Cabin Filter. There is no Cabin Filter part. All the auto repair shops should**** ***!
