The mass airflow sensor on the 2004 Honda CR-V can be difficult to find if You don't know what You're looking for -- but once You do, it'll stick out like a sore thumb. It's located near the throttle body assembly, which You'll find on the front driver's side of Your engine bay. More specifically, You're going to want to look next to the air intake. If You see Your air filter housing, You're in the right neighborhood. Once You've found the air filter and the throttle body, look for the first electrical plug past the air filter on the engine's side. If You need to replace it, it's worth noting that it's a relatively simple and inexpensive fix -- it shouldn't take You more than an hour or two maximum, and cost no more than $100, but more likely in the $50 range if You choose a reasonable brand.
