The fuel filter on the 2004 Honda Element is not considered to be a serviceable part. There is no scheduled replacement interval, and it's expected to last for the lifetime of the vehicle. It's built directly into the fuel pump assembly, so any necessary replacement will also necessitate replacing the entire assembly. With that said, You'll not often -- if ever -- need to replace the '04 Element's fuel filter. If You do need to access it for some reason, You'll be able to find an access door under a panel in the interior floor; it's located behind the driver's seat. There's not much to be done on it, but it's nice to know that Honda was kind enough to not make You drop the entire fuel tank, as in most vehicles.
