The 2004 Lexus RX330 Bank 1 Sensor 2 is located after the the main catalytic converter. This sensor is fitted on bank 1 of the engine which indicates cylinders 1,3, and 5. It serves as the downstream O2 sensor which measures the amount of pollutants that are traveling through the catalytic converter. This information is sent to the ECU. It should differ from readings sent from the upstream sensor, or the Bank 1 Sensor 1 in this case. If the sensors are sending similar readings the ECU will send a "Catalyst Inefficiency" code. Should one of these sensors begin to fail You may experience symptoms such as poor mileage and mIS Firing in the engine. The Check Engine light should also illuminate. The cause can either be the sensor itself or due to faulty wiring. A replacement has an estimated cost of $450 to $640 for parts and $170 to $210 for labor.
