The recommended coolant type on the 2004 Mazda3 should consist of ethylene glycol. If You want to know what type of products to use, I can help You with that. Some of the products that You can use are Peak 1 Gallon Yellow 50/50 Coolant/Antifreeze or Prestone 1 Gallon Yellow Concentrate Coolant/Antifreeze. If You want to know what the coolant capacity is, I can help You with that too. The coolant capacity with the heater iS7.9 US quarts. If there is no heater, then the coolant capacity will be 7.3 US quarts. I would recommend checking the coolant level at least once a week with daily use. Top it off when it gets low so that You don't have any problems down the road.

The 2004 mazda 3 uses a green, extended life coolant designed for asian vehicles featuring phosphate organic acid technology, in its reservoir.
