The 2005 Cadillac STS body control module is on the driver's side inside the vehicle. It's a black plastic module that bolts to the fuse block. The BCM controls the power windows, power mirrors, air conditioning, immobilizer system, central locking, etc. A malfunctioning BCM will activate dashboard instrumentation cluster error and warning lights. These lights may flash off and on if the BCM is not able to read the sensors correctly. Your vehicle performance may also be affected as the BCM communicates with other control modules in the vehicle.Because of the BCMs communications with other modules and components You may experience a no crank or no start condition. The key is to heed these warning signs, take prompt action, and seek help.

I'm confused... I've seen people say, "It's in the trunk, under the rear windshield," and I've seen people say, "It's under the dash, on the driver's side." Which is it?
It’s under the front passenger glove box, on the firewall. You have to remove the glove box and all to be able to see it. Then it’s a tight squeeze but you’ll see the wiring harness running to it whichshould help locate.4 electric plugs and 2 screws.
