The 2005 Dodge Dakota does not have a separate transfer case control module (TCCM). Instead, the transfer case is run off of the front control module (FCM), which contains the software to control the electric shift transfer cases. If You're interested, the front control module is located in the front right corner of the engine compartment. It connects to the power distribution center, which together form the integrated power module (IPM). This connects directly to the battery to provide circuit protection and power distribution for all of the Dakota's electrical system. This includes the transfer case, among many other components. So if You can find the battery, then the front control module is not far behind; You're in the right area.

For the 2005 dodge dakota the transmission control module is located inside the transmission at the rear of the case underneath the end cover.
