If You've got a 2005 Hyundai Sonata with a 2.7L V6 engine, the crankshaft position sensor can be a bit difficult to find. As with any vehicle, You're going to want to begin Your search near the crankshaft. In Your specific case, the sensor is found on the left rear side of the engine block, near the bell housing. You can find it held in place by a 10mm bolt. More particularly, You'll need to look to the right of the exhaust manifold -- at the left side of the engine bay, or the radiator side. A new one will cost You between $40 and $100, but once You know what it looks like, You'll have a much simpler time finding it on Your Sonata.
