The 2005 Nissan Maxima has a headlight fuse that is located inside the power distribution module. This module can be found in the engine bay. First, You will need to open the hood of Your vehicle. Look to the passenger side, and locate the black plastic box running along the front, behind the headlight assembly or grille area. Open the lid, and You will find an array of switches, relays, and fuses. Use the chart on the lid to match with the headlight fuse. The labels for the headlights will include 30 L low, 20 R low, 28 L high, and 27 R high, for each headlamp.

There are two fuse boxes on the vehicle. The first is located under the hood, while the second is located under the dashboard below the steering wheel. The headlight fuse is in the one in the hood.
