The 2006 Ford 500 has a camshaft position sensor that is fairly easy to locate on Your own. It will only take around 2 to 5 minutes of Your time. The first thing You will need to do is go to the front of Your vehicle. Next, using the prop arm to the left side of the engine bay, hold the hood securely open. Now, look inside the engine bay, directly at the engine block. On top, You should see a black valve cover. Lift the cover, and beneath, You will find the sensor. This will be closer to the driver's side of the bay. If the sensor has gone bad, it will cost between $5 and $53 to replace it.

All these answers are wrong. It is on the side of the cylinder head on passenger side front, just below the valve cover. You need to move a plastic wire harness cover to get to it
