The 2006 Ford F-250 diesel fuel tank is either 29 or 38 gallons depending on the options that were selected at the time it was built. The larger fuel tank option was there to allow the truck to go farther between filling it up. Never put standard gasoline into Your diesel engine because it will ruin the fuel system and Your injectors. It can be very costly to replace these components once they have been damaged. You should also never run agricultural or red handled diesel in Your truck. Only use the green handled diesel #2 in Your vehicle. The other type of diesel is not meant to be used in on road vehicles and can clog up Your fuel system as well.

Whoever is giving this information is not accurate. I have a 2006 Ford F250 6.0 and my take is 34 gallons. It’s also a short bed. Now I do have the lariat Amarillo but I don’t think it’s any different. So 38 and 29 is not accurate.
