The 2006 Ford Fusion will use an 8mm idler pulley bolt, that is 12.9 grade. Many drivers online have reported that these fail and fail often, since it's such a small bolt; be ready to replace it at regular intervals if that's what the idler pulley gods will. They're malevolent, according to others, so You might have to find a way around it. Some other drivers mention that they've drilled the hole to 11/32 of an inch, and tapped it with a 10mm bolt to replace it. This comes from a driver that said he or she has gone througH14(!) idler pulley bolts in a little over two and a half years. You certainly may want to look into replacing, so this doesn't become Your issue.
