You should use Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 oil in the 2006 Lincoln Zephyr, or an equivalent that meets Ford specification WSS-M2C930-A. ThiS-TYPE of oil has been determined to provide the best possible fuel economy and longevity of the engine. You should check the engine oil level often, at least once a week. Open the hood and remove the dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth. Put it back down in the tube making sure You go all the way in and then withdraw it again. Hold the tip down and make sure the fluid level is in between the two holes at the bottom of the dipstick. If the fluid is below the bottom hole add enough oil to bring it back into the normal operating range.
