As the owner of a 2006 Nissan Murano, You may find Yourself in a situation where You need to find the transmission speed sensor. This part is fairly easy to locate in the engine compartment. The first thing You will need to do is open the hood, and use the prop arm to keep it secure. Now, look into the engine bay, to the left of the block. The sensor will be in the area toward the right and back of the transmission. The tail shaft should be nearby. If the sensor has gone bad, it will need to be replaced. You can expect to pay between $28 and $184 for a new part alone.

Do you mean passenger side or driver side? Because I don't see it from the engine compartment. My Murano is a 2006.
