The 2007 Dodge Caliber's Coolant Temperature Sensor is located in front of the radiator, somewhat in front of the grille shell, and is how the ECU knows what the ambient temperature is. If this sensor has failed and You need to replace it, a compatible part is the Mopar Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, part number C6020349146MPR, which runs around $28 at Advance Auto Parts. Replacing this is pretty simple; once You locate it there in front of the radiator (usually You can follow the radiator hose, and find it near the top) You'll just unscrew it and swap the new part in.

The 2007 dodge caliber coolant temp sensor has two engine coolant sensors (etc). One etc (1) is located in the coolant adapter and one (ect) sensor (1) that threads into the cylinder block.
