You'll be forgiven if You thought that there was a good chance that the 2007 Ford Ranger's OBD2 port was on the left hand side of the dash, above the brake or clutch pedals. This is where most vehicles install their ports, so it's understandable that this is the first place You look. However, Ford is a little bit different; in the case of the 07 Ranger, You won't have to look far. Instead, check out the right side of the driver's foot well, near the center console. Look up under the dash, above or slightly to the right of the gas pedal. You should see the OBD2 port hanging vertically; You'll be able to plug Your reader in there, and diagnose with the help of any fault codes.

The obd port in a 2007 ford ranger should be beneath the steering wheel behind a panel in the dashboard.
