The 2007 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T does not have a serviceable fuel filter. Instead, it is located inside the fuel tank, as part of the fuel pump assembly (LPFP). Only the diesel models will have a fuel filter, which You'll find inside the engine bay under the hood. In the case of gasoline, You won't need to replace the filter at any interval. If such an occasion does arise where You feel the filter needs to be replaced, You'll need to replace the entire fuel pump assembly. This is a difficult and time consuming process that involves lifting the car high in the air and dropping the fuel tank, so it's recommended to be done by a professional. However, the odds that You'll need this service are slim to none.
