The 2008 BMW 528i does not have an oil dipstick at all. There are two ways that You can measure the oil with the vehicle. The first way is by using Your vehicle's infotainment screen. If You go to vehicle settings there will be an option that says oil levels and it will measure them and let You know how full the oil is. The second way is using the B stalk next to the steering wheel on the left side. If You press in on this button You will see the oil level display on the small red screen that is in Your gauge cluster. BMW has decided to have a sealed oil system and figured that a computerized reading for the oil was better.
There is no dipstick, to know your oil level, check the information on the screen. This model has the information digitally stored. If you're low on oil, the car should alert you to add one quart.
