The 2008 Chevy Impala fuel pressure regulator can be found on the back side of the fuELRails and is connected to the lines as they come into the engine. This is a small regulator that is the final place where fuel pressure is either increased or decreased before it enters Your fuELRails. If Your fuel pressure regulator is going bad You may notice that the engine either runs very rich or very lean depending on how it is failing. If it is stuck open there will be excessive fuel dumped into Your engine which will make it run rich and have unburnt fuel. If it is stuck closed then You may notice Your engine stalling and having a hard time idling.
