The 2008 Hyundai Sonata's fuel filter is located on top of the fuel tank, as part of the fuel pump assembly. However, unlike most vehicles that include the fuel filter as a part of this assembly, the Sonata actually does feature a serviceable one. This is in contrast to the "lifetime" models offered by a lot of vehicles -- that don't always seem to last a lifetime. Hyundai furthermore makes it relatively simple to access and change.
