The 2010 Chevrolet Impala is not very picky when it comes to power steering fluid. Users report fluids running the gamut, from Prestone universal power steering fluid to ATF+4 to DEXRON-ViAutomatic transmission fluid. I should note that GM recommends against DEXRON-VI, but instead recommends their own proprietary blend; with that said, You can safely use either. The manufacturer's recommend power steering fluid is P/N 89021184. This can be found for as little as $3 per bottle, so if You're worried about staying with the precise manufacturer's specifications, it won't hit You in the wallet too hard. However, if You're looking for a cheaper alternative, many do exist and very likely won't cause any harm to Your PS system.
