The 2010 GMC Acadia comes with a group size 48 battery in the vehicle. It needs to have a cold crank amp rating of 660 amps to be able to start the vehicle reliably. There are two types of batteries that are commonplace these days, AGM and lead acid. AGM is a newer type of battery technology that uses gel inside of it instead of lead acid. This means You will never have to add water to an AGM battery like You do with a traditional lead acid battery. AGM batteries also usually are able to offer higher cold cranking amp ratings, and last longer than lead acid. The only downside to AGM is that they do cost more than lead acid.
