It is best to use Mazda Genuine ATF M-III or M-V in the 2010 Mazda CX7 or an equivalent such as Dexron IiAutomatic transmission fluid. The power steering reservoir is located on the left side of the engine compartment towards the front of the engine. You should inspect the fluid level in the power steering reservoir every 5000 miles or so. Only time but the fluid will need to be replaced is if You detect a leak and the pump would need to be replaced. There are markings on the side of the reservoir and indicate the recommended level of the fluid. As long as the fluid remains between these two marks You're fine. If You notice that You're having to constantly add fluid to maintain the proper level You may have a leak somewhere within the system.
