The 2011 Mercedes-Benz E550 will perform best when lubricated with Mobil 1 synthetic engine oils. Mercedes recommends using a viscosity grade of 0W-40 or 5W-40 in all climates. You should inspect the oil level several times per month to ensure that the engine is receiving proper lubrication. Locate the dipstick and remove it from the tube. Wipe it off using a clean lint free cloth. Now reinsert the dipstick into the tube and pull it out again, this time holding the tip down, look at the end to see where the oil level is at. If it falls below the MINImum mark add enough oil to bring it back into range. The oil should be changed every 10,000 miles but don't exceed 12 months.
