On the Hyundai Genesis (and other turbocharged vehicles), code P2261 indicates that turbo/super charger bypass valve mechanical control circuit gives the PCM an abnormal reading. This will be typically accompanied by a host of different issues, including poor acceleration, rattling sounds, exhauSTSmoke, high engine and transmission temperatures, wastegate hissing, poor performance, abnormal boost pressure levels, or other diagnostic trouble codes. It can be caused by any one (or more) of almost a dozen causes, including an intake manifold vacuum leak, a faulty intercooler, an improperly functioning wastegate, a d***y air cleaner, loose turbocharger/exhaust manifold bolts, a defective booSTSensor, shorted or open booSTSensor wiring, or broken down connectors. It's a very difficult code to diagnose, but it's a very important code to fix.
