The mass airflow sensor is located at the intake manifold of the Hyundai Elantra. Mass airflow sensors measure the volume of air going into the engine and send that information to the vehicle's main ECU. Any issue with this sensor will cause the car to burn more fuel and become less efficient. It will also cause the car to idle roughly, mIS Fire and stall. This may also cause problems with the starting of the car. So it is advisable to get it replaced if it ever stops working. The average cost for a Hyundai Elantra mass airflow sensor replacement is between $220 and $385. This cost is approximate and might vary depending on where You purchase the parts from.
