According to the owners manual You should always be using silicate-free DEX-COOL coolant in Your 2014 GMC Sierra. The coolant is designed to be in Your vehicle for up to 5 years oF-150,000 miles, whichever comes first. If You use something other than DEX-COOL there is a risk of damaging Your engine, heater core, or radiator. This vehicle also comes with a coolant heater which makes for easier starting and also gives better fuel economy when warming up the engine in cold weather. Check Your coolant reservoir and make sure Your levels fit within the min and max markers listed on the side. If You're low then just pour in a bit more until You hit the max mark. -
