The key fob that comes with your 2014 Mazda3uses a CR2025 battery that you can purchase at any online retailer or auto parts store. As the battery dies you will notice that the remote will need to be closer and closer to the vehicle before it unlocks the doors. To replace the battery you will only need the new battery and a small flat head screwdriver. The first thing to do is to remove the metal key section from the remote. Then you will need to pry the two halves apart starting at the opening left by the removal of the key. Once you have the fob in two pieces you need to remove the inner battery cover. From there you only need to slide out the old battery and replace it with the new one. To reassemble just reverse the steps.
Cr2025 is the 2014 mazda 3 key fob battery size and they will cost you about 10 dollars each.
