The ambient air temperature sensor can be found behind the grille or bumper toward the front of the engine in the 2015 Jeep Renegade. This works in conjunction with the climate control system to monitor and control the temperature in the cabin. More importantly, it also communicates with the PCM and tells the car what the temperature of the air entering the engine is. This allows the PCM to adjust as needed for the fuel mixture to keep the engine running smoothly. If the sensor is bad then You may notice You get less engine power, and that it runs bad. They are cheap to fix, about 60 dollars, so You should get on this if it goes bad.

It's actually located in the passenger side door mirror. See that little "bubble" hanging down underneath? Thats it. You have to take the mirror apart to get to the sensor. And it's wired into the harness, so you either have to buy a whole mirror from the dealership, or cut it and wire in a new sensor.
