The 2015 Kia Rio's crankshaft position sensor is located right next to the oil filter housing on the underside of the vehicle. It's at the lower front end of the engine, near the transmission, facing the radiator. If You're looking to replace, it's a relatively simple job that should take You no more than twenty minutes for an experienced automotive enthusiast, and maybe an hour for a novice. If You're getting diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0335, there's a good chance You'll need to swap Your component out. A replacement crankshaft position sensor for the 2015 Rio will set You back between $80 and $95. You can expect an experienced professional mechanic to charge You between $120 and $150 for the job, or You can save a few bucks and do it Yourself.
