The canister purge valve on a 2016 Ford Fusion is located at the back center of the engine compartment, right next to the throttle body. The valve is held on with two 8-millimeter hex head bolts that need to be removed when replacing it. Next, unplug the electrical connector at the top of it, lift up on the tab and then pull out on the connector. Now You have to disconnect the vacuum line going in at the bottom of it. Take a flat blade screwdriver and push it in a little bit on one of the tabs on the side and then pull the hose off. There is an o-ring on the bottom of the valve they can stick a little, just wiggle it while pulling up to remove it.
