The dipstick in a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder is located on the right side of the engine block as You look at it. There is a handle that has a ring on it that is low down on the side of it and that is what You will need to remove to pull the dipstick out. The dipstick is the best way to check the oil in Your engine. You can use it to check and make sure that it is properly filled, and You can also check the condition. When the oil is black or has metallic flecks in it that is a sign that there is a problem with the engine or the oil is too old and will need to be replaced soon.

The dip stick is located on the left hand side of the engine while looking at it. Be careful not to lose sight of where it comes out the guide track can be hard to find.
