The oil drain plug on a 2017 Subaru Outback is going to have a head size of 17mm so you're going to need to use either a 17mm wrench or socket for a torque wrench. If you using a torque wrench you're going to need to set it to 25 ft-lbs in order to remove the bolt without stripping it. The thread size is going to be M20-1.50 which is pretty standard for oil drain plugs. The oil is going to need to be changed out in this vehicle every 7,500 to 10,000 miles. You will have an oil life indicator in this vehicle to tell you when.
