The 2.0-liter engine in the 2018 Ford EcoSport takeS3.8 liters (4.0 quarts) of SAE 5W-20 motor oil. However, in areas with cold winter climates, 0W-20 is a recommended substitution. Ford recommends replacing this fluid every 7,500 miles or 6 months, whichever You arrive to first. If You live in a dusty area or drive long daily commutes at low speeds, You will likely need more frequent maintenance appointments. Your Ecosport is equipped with an oil life light that will illuminate when it's time to have it changed. The oil life will need to be reset to 100% in order for the light to go out. This a super easy process that takes only a couple minutes to do. The average cost to have the oil changed in the 2018 Ecosport at a dealership is $120 to $160. This includes around $50 for labor, so You can save some money, if You handle it Yourself.

Mine only takes 3.5 quarts and at 4.5 gave a check engine warning as overfill. Drained and refilled and now works perfect
