The engine life of a Chevrolet Captiva is at least 100,000 miles. But what is the number 1 way to improve engine life You may be wondering. Well small engine problems can quickly become big ones if they arent addressed in a timely way. Staying on top of this requires You to pay attention to Your cars engine. Keep a close eye on its performance. If Your vehicles engine makes unusual sounds or is slow to turn over, take the car in so the engine can be evaluated by a mechanic. If You neglect these problems and they lead to more serious engine difficulties, the repair bill can be astronomical. Do Your budget a favor by quickly tending to minor engine problems as they develop.

My 2014 Chevy Captiva's engine just gave out at 129k miles in Oct 2022. Chevy dealership wants $8,800 before taxes and fees to replace it. I hope my misfortune helps someone plan ahead out there. I took the car 90% of the time to GM dealership for oil changes when the car said 5% oil life left. I also took the car to GM for all minor and major repairs.
