Older models of the Chevy Bolt will be limited to a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds. This limited the vehicle to what it could be able to tow. It did fine with small sized trailers and campers but couldn't do much of anything larger including for example a medium sized boat. The brand new 2021 models of the Chevy Bolt have increased the capacity to an astounding number. New models will now have the ability to tow up to 5,200 pounds depending on which configuration of the vehicle You purchase. This opens up a lot more opportunities allowing medium sized trailers and boats. The new bolt will be a much more adventurous vehicle now.

My 2020 Bolt Manual says "do not tow with this vehicle". So how can you say it's rated for 2000 lbs towing when the manual says 0 ?

2,000 pounds is the standard towing capacity for the chevy bolt, though it can be raised a little higher with mods.
