The Chevy HHR bolt pattern iS5 X110mm. This means that You have 5 lug nuts and they are 110mm away from each other. If You are looking for new rims for Your HHR You should make sure to get ones that have this bolt pattern in them. Adding adapters is possible, but they can damage Your new wheels or Your wheel hub by putting extra strain on them. A reputable wheel shop should be able to find You a selection of wheels that will fit Your car. Just in general You do not want to go more than about 2 inches larger in size than OEM because that can damage the gears.
