Having high quality oil is key for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into issues with the oil at some point. A common problem is an awful burning smell. This needs to be inspected as soon as possible or the car might explode. Bad oil can cause the engine to stop working. You could experience terrible gas mileage. Knocking noise may come about from the engine.

I have a 2014 Chevy traverse and I was wondering what kind of oil am I supposed to put back in it when I get the oil changed does it have to be a certain kind or brand

The 2019 chevrolet traverse uses 5w-30 synthetic oil and it takes 5 quarts on the 2.0L, the 3.6L v6 takes 6 quarts of oil
