On a Dodge Ram, 1500 Code P0302 is set in the Powertrain Computer has detected more than a 2 percent variance in RPM between the firing of any two (or more) cylinders in the firing order. A mIS Fire from one or more cylinders can be caused by many reasons from a faulty ignition system, fuel system, or internal engine failure. Many times, P0302 occurs when there are worn-out spark plugs, spark plug wires, or a faulty ignition coil. I would try replacing the spark plugs and the spark plug wires first. This is the most common cause for this code.
