The error code P2138 in a 2007 Honda Accord means the Electronic Control Module (ECM) has detected an issue with the accelerator pedal position sensor. Some symptoms of a bad sensor is the car stutters while accelerating, the engine doesn't idle good and loss of fuel economy. A new sensor costs between $30 to $50 and to have it replaced by a shop could add $75 to $95 for labor. The sensor is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment on the firewall. You'll need to remove the plastic panel cover that goes across the back of the engine, the sensor is just below it. There is a plastic cover over it that has three 10mm screws that needs to be removed, and then the sensor has three 10mm screws that hold it in place.
