Generally, on the Dodge Journey, You're going to have a dual catalytic converter setup, though this may vary among engine configurations and model years. For each, You'll find a catalytic converter installed inline with the exhaust pipe, nearer to the exhaust manifold than Your tail pipe. If You do have two, You'll have a "Bank 1" and "Bank 2" catalytic converter. Unfortunately, the cost of replacement is through the roof; because of the rare earth metals in catalytic converters, the parts are exorbitantly expensive. You'll generally be looking at upwards of $1600 to replace each one, so it's best to take care of regular maintenance items (like oxygen sensors) to try to ensure that Your catalytic converters do not fail.

The Dodge Journey catalytic converter location is on the underside of the vehicle near the right side of the vehicle.
