Most modern model years of the Honda CR-V will use 6 X16 self-tapping screws to secure the front and rear license plates. It's recommended that You use stainless steel, as these are known to get quite rusty from normal operation. There's no need to order proprietary; You should be able to find these at a local hardware store for a trivial amount of money, likely a couple cents up to a dollar.
