The 2007 Nissan Altima uses a group size 35 battery with between 570 to 650 cold cranking amps. The 35 refers to the battery size that will best fit the physical dimensions, terminal location and type required for the Altima. This battery is 9.0625 inches long X6.875 inches wide and 8.875 inches tall with top post terminals. The batteries normally last for around 3 to 5 years, an a new once can cost between $60 to $120, depending on brand. Its easy to remove it from the Altima , it is located right in front inside the engine compartment, on the drivers side. You will need a 10-mm wrench or socket and ratchet. Begin by disconnecting the negative battery terminal first. This will lessen the chances of getting shocked if You touch something metal while removing the positive terminal. Next remove the two bolts in the cross bar over the battery, the battery will lift straight up and out.
