The U11E9 error code refers to an issue with the Dodge Dart's active grill shutter. An active grill shutter is installed at the front of the radiator and behind the fascia and is used in extreme temperature conditions. It can open to allow more air flow through the radiator and engine, often when the AC is operating at its maximum setting. The shutters close when extra cooling is not needed. When closed they improve the speed and aerodynamics of driving as well as fuel economy. In a closed position, air "drag" or resistance is reduced at highway speeds. The Dart's PCM will throw the U11E9 code if it detects an error in their function. This is usually caused by an open or shorted electrical harness and/or disconnected wiring.

Yea I have the U11E9 code. My fan starts running a couple mins after start-up and dont stop.Can I just unplug my AGS connector and STOP the constant fan running? How do I fix this issue?
So i disconnected mine a while back because we pulled the front grill for some custom work and they were staying shut all the time. I noticed the motor housing came apart while it was off. May have gotten it un clocked. A year later i do a head job and plug them back in and they dont shut but the fans will not come on at all while they are plugged in and the fans go into default problem mode and turn on 100% of the time whenits plugged in, understandably.am i looking at an ags motor or the control module on the fan assy? Or both?
