The 2005 Toyota 4Runner's serpentine belt has quite the tall task; the diagram is more complex than a lot of other vehicles. It runs around the power steering pump, the water pump, three idlers, the generator, the air conditioning compressor, the crankshaft pulley, and a tensioner. It's easy to lose track of where You remove the belt from, since there are so many components that are attached. If You've lost track Yourself, You can find a full diagram at https://www.Toyota 4Runner.org/attachments/4th-gen-t4rs/99590d1381156453-idler-pulley-replacement-2008-09-20_202829_belt-gif . Note that this is the same for all 4th generation Toyota 4Runners, so it matches on model years froM2002 until 2008. 2009 is the first year of the newer fifth generation, so the diagram is not guaranteed to match. Good luck with the routing!
