The horn on Your 2004 Chevy Silverado is on the passenger side and is under the airbox under the metal portion of the air box seat area. The reason that horn fails is that the horn is pointing up . You will have to crawl under the fender in front of the plastic fender shield on the passenger side. The horn is up in there under the airboxArea. You can buy a horn for $30-$40. Some drivers use their horns to communicate effectively and alert other drivers, while plenty of others use horns to vent their traffic frustrations and perpetuate road rage. As a general rule, You should only use Your vehicle's horn when absolutely necessary to ensure safe driving.

The horn on my 2004 Ext Cab LWB (8ft bed) is NOT on the passenger side but on the driver's side behind the marker (blinker) light. Mine is a 1500 series with Long Range fuel tank (34 gallon) option.
