The 2005 Chevy Avalanche fuel filter location is beneath the vehicle on the frame rail of the driver's side. Having the fuel burn optimally is crucial to maximizing Your miles per gallon. Your gas tank needs to be in the best of shape. You will come into problems at some point or another. A bad control valve might arise. The gas tank could become loose. There may be gas leaks, which need to be looked into pronto. The gas cap can become stuck and will be quite an ordeal to deal with. Vehicle parts will eventually become ineffective at some point. The fuel filter needs to be replaced every 30,000 miles or so. If it doesn't get changed, You will come across issues with the performance.

I'm with Timothy, nowhere on my 2005 Avalanche is there a fuel filter along the frame on the driver's side. So wtf? Must be in the tank?

Not all 05 avalanche fuel filters are on the frame under the driver side of the vehicle. I suspect that like mine it is in the gas tank.

I have an '05 Avalanche as well. It is a 4x4 Z71. There is NO INLINE FUEL FILTER anywhere to be found on the frame rail. Obviously we're not referring to the in-tank filter attached to the pump...
I can't find a fuel filter on my 2005Chevy avalanche either been from one end to the other no filter on either frame rail
